Some of this may change though because TUNS is amalgamating with Dalhousie University this year. You may still be able to do the first 2 years at one of the other universities, but I think they are planning on phasing some of them out. I no longer have any of the data sheets from them, it was about 12 years ago when I came across them. I think that the antenna support arms on the Hubble telescope are Gr-Al; you might try someone at NASA or the HST people. 2 in seems a lot thicker than the material that was available at that time, .062-.125 seems to be the upper limit that they were comfortable with, but progress should have been made. Mike, Well, you could probably control any solenoid valve with an external PWM device. If it is PLC driven, you can program it to give any type of pulses that you require.
