I'm looking for a specific poster of the world that was created from
satellite images.  I've included a small scanned image of it below
(which I found in a National Geographic atlas, but it had no credits on
it)... I hope I attached it so you can see it painlessly.
I saw this particular poster in a bookstore many years ago, but have
never seen it since.  Does anyone know who makes it or who markets it? 
I've also seen the image on a coffee mug, and I'd be interested in that
too.  I think it may be a product of "The Geo Project" or some such
group/company.
I appreciate any pointers to sources for it, or other geo/satellite
images and posters... thanks!

Do yourself a favor and get familiar with a company called MicroImages,
Inc.:
intrnet http:/ www.microimages.com.  For small projects, educational &
training purposes, they provide extensive documentation on projection
systems in on line in their lite software (TNTlite) & for larger
applications they have professional software that does the same things at a
larger scale.  
Documentation also often provides technical resources to other information
on how to...  I can't guarantee that the GAUSS-KRUEGER system is supported
without checking,  but the name looks very familiar...  UTM definitely is. 
  This is my week-end and I regret that I don't want to do your research
for you -- nonetheless, I hope this helps.
Although, MicroImages' TNTlite software is downloadable for free from their
extensive website -- it is provided for a nominal  handing & processing fee
of $25.00 on CD-rom (much less than a text book and considering that it
contains over 2000 printed pages with search capabilities, that's even
quite a value.)
