Subject: Teflon sheets for film making by compression

Greetings;
I believe I saw in this group recently a post from someone who offers for
sale, Teflon sheets for making films by sandwiching polymer in the Teflon
and compressing in a Carver press with heated platens.
I glossed over the original post, but now we need some of these sheets.
The supplier has a very large minimum order, and we need only a dozen or
so, so I am hoping to find them here.
RSVP is you posted, or know the poster.
TIA

I am looking for commercial clays which can be intercalated (or
swelled) by organics. Does anyone know which company produces such
materials? Related informations are also needed.
Any kind of help will be deeply appreciated.

Subject: Prototype mold maker wanted

I am looking for a prototype mold maker (preferably in the Mid-Atlantic
region)
to build two single cavity injection molding tools and mold initial test
samples (50-500 pieces each). I will supply the materials.
The first mold is for a small part (about 10 grams), molded in
polycarbonate or ASA. The mold will have to have one pullable core. The
injection press needed is about 25 tons.
The second mold is a bit larger. The part is about 25 grams, molded in
polyurethane, there is no core. The injection press needed is about 75
tons.
If you would like more information please e-mail. Thank you.

Sirs:
Which solvent should be used to liquefy hot melt with the least hazardous
effects? Thanks for you answer.

I am wondering if anyone out there has experience with PVC production
( using raw PVC, ESO, DTP) using a co-rotating extruder. I am familiar
with using the turbo mixer / counter rotating extruder method. I am
willing to get a turbo mixer, but I would need to run it on a
co-rotating machine. Has anyone done this?
Thanks. Please email jvs@interactive.net

Subject: Collagen-Glycosamino glycans- Chitosan: Cross linked?

Dear Netters,
I work on Bioactive polymers. There had been a lot of literature in the
recent past of composites of Collagen-GAG 'cross-linked' with Chitosan.
I wish to know whether such a crosslinking is feasible. Can a
Glycosaminoglycan be cross linked to a protein by an acetyl glucosamine.
There had been literature which discusses that the Collagen Chitosan link is
purely electrostatic.
I need to be educated of this and if there are any investigators in this
area, may I get in touch with them.
Thank you,
Yours
