i can only hope that you are not in a position to deny people like
mike funds or other support to do research in a field that is of the
utmost interest to scientists and the public alike. there is (to the
best of my knowledge) not a single well controlled, randomly assigned,
experimental design that provides evidence for the theory that
second-hand smoke causes cancer. true, that is an almost impossible
experiment to do. that does not, however, mean that by default
everyone should agree that second-hand smoke causes cancer.
and you would never work on my research team. but i suspect that you
are not a scientist so that really isn't an issue for you, eh?
