Subject: http interface to S-plus ?

Hello friends.
My wife is involved in a project that has to do with the collection,
analysis and presentation of data. Data are to be collected on remote
sites, sent to a host, included in a database, aggregated and analyzed
under various options, and the resultes presented to the public.
Therefore, an interface to a statistical software package is of interest
that allows for linking it with the http protocol.
1. Do you know if there exits an appropriate interface in the S-plus
software (preferably, a documented one)?
2. Do you think S-Plus's licence policy would allow for calling services
of S-plus on a UNIX system by several clientx?
3. Do you know of similar projects?
4. Whom should I ask?
Thank you very much
