I'm not an expert on Magnetic Flux Density so perhaps someone can help me out. Several Futuristic RPG games like "Battletech" created a magnetic gun called a "Gauss Rifle" or "Gauss Gun". The gun uses metal slugs propelled by a series of Magnets along a tube. Basically a rail gun. Question 1: So... Is it proper to be calling this gun a "Gauss Gun"? (I did a history search on several scientist named Gauss, so I do believe I know who it is named after though not 100% sure) A (computer) game that I'm testing uses a "Gauss" cannon as part of the arsenal. However, the developer of the game decided that the Gauss cannon was Gas compression based instead of Magnetic. Question 2, Between the two, which is correct? A "Gauss" cannon that uses gas or magnetism? Are either correct? P.S. This maybe the wrong forum, so please pardon and be kind when answering.Return to Top
Hi, I am involved in some work on synthetc MR image generation and our team feels that it would greatly help our validations if we could get our hands on several MR images of the same person and the same imaged region under different settings of TE,TR for the spin-echo technique. Not just the usual 2-3 images, but say, about 6-10 images (the more the better). Does anyone know if there is some such "catalog" for want of a better word? If there is, would it be possible to get these, and from where? Please advise by sending mail to: maitra@biostat.washington.edu Thanks, Ranjan -- ****************************************************************************** Ranjan Maitra, Statistics, Box 354322, U. of Washington, Seattle WA 98195, USA ******************************************************************************Return to Top
