To all Finnigan GCQ Users.
Please give me a short report about your experience
with the GCQ. Be sure to include the details about
your GC, injectors, GC-column, MS parameters...
Since weeks, we have problems with the background.
We used a Finnigan GC and have now a Fisons GC.

Subject: Negative ion Electrospray Calibration.
From: "Dr Anthony Reeder"

I am having difficulties running and calibrating low resolution negative
ion electrospray runs on an Autospec M. I have tried to recalibrate the
Hall probe using CsI in -ve ion FAB but as yet I have not been too
successful. I believe the problem is due to the lack of data points in the
-ve ion Hall probe calibration.
I would be grateful if anyone can suggest a better method for calibrating
the Hall probe or a compound to be used for calibrating the -ve ion
electrospray.
Thanks in advance
