World Energy’s Energy Efficiency Group is an energy conservation engineering and project management team focused on assessing, developing, engineering, and managing commercial energy efficiency projects. Specifically, projects include commercial building energy audits, project scope development, equipment specifications and ROI analyses. We work with local utilities on incentive programs, present project analyses and provide turnkey energy efficiency project solutions for our clients. Our focus is on high ROI lighting, mechanical and energy management systems. We also have renewable energy solutions available to our clients including solar and CHP.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Energy Specialist with an energy and utility background who will identify opportunities for improving the efficiency of building in commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts. The successful candidate will also develop energy savings analyses and cost estimates and present the findings to interested prospects for the installation of recommended improvements.

The ideal candidate should have a background in HVAC (D or S) License, 5+ years in design, estimating and sales of HVAC systems. We are looking for a technical team player who is an effective communicator, have good mathematical skills, is willing to be hands-on with project work, and will thrive in a fast paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency of HVAC systems, building envelope, water heating and other energy systems & end users in a commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts;
• Develop energy savings analyses and cost estimates for the installation of recommended improvements;
• Possess knowledge of HVAC energy savings concepts for commercial & industrial buildings
• Maintain up to date information on green energy standards for buildings;
• Develop energy engineering solutions for HVAC, chillers, motors, VFDs, pumps, fans, & boilers
• Present proposals for energy conservation measures to prospects for installation of recommended improvements;
• Other duties as may be required.

Qualifications:

• Background in HVAC (D or S License)
• 5 + years in design, estimating and sale of HVAC systems
• Engineering degree a plus
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
• Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
• Technical knowledge of building systems and/or energy solutions.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office
