Sr. Developer/Analyst
World Energy Solutions Inc. (TSX: XWE; NASDAQ: XWES) is seeking a Sr. Developer/Analyst to join our IT department.  World Energy operates online exchanges for energy and green commodities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with operations, sales and marketing teams to lead the design and delivery of our next generation best-in-class software.

The ideal candidate must have:

• BS in MIS or related field
• 6 years of n-tier web development including 2 years in a project leadership role
• Track record of successfully delivering innovative software solutions on time and within budget
• Deep understanding of all phases of systems development life cycle methodology – from requirements definition through design and delivery
• Experience with UML concepts or equivalent
• 2   years experience with Microsoft .NET Framework (ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#)
• 2 years experience with SQL Server (stored procedures, views, udfs) and Database Modeling
• Prior development experience with auction, CRM, purchasing, or accounting software
• Excellent organization, planning and meeting skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio
• Excellent people skills - demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non technical individuals, both in gathering information and communicating direction and status
• A strong self starter’s work ethic and “can-do” attitude
• Comfort working in a high growth entrepreneurial environment
• Dependable, reliable, and professional
• A passion for building great software

You will be expected to:

• Participate in rapid, prototype-based, requirement gathering sessions
• Develop functional design documents and review
• Develop technical documentation including object and data model
• Facilitate formal review and approval process for all lifecycle deliverables
• Oversee delivery process to ensure solutions meets business requirements
• Effectively manage project scope, risks and change
• Leverage and generate reusable design standards to be utilized throughout platform
• Develop quality software that adheres to platform design standards
• Develop and execute test plans
