Wholesale Account Manager World Energy Solutions, Inc., the operator of leading online exchanges for energy and environmental commodities, is seeking an Account Manager in our wholesale sales department. Our award-winning online auction platform enables customers to secure a highly competitive price for their power and green credits via structured auction events and our post and respond procurement system. World Energy’s customers include federal and state government agencies, Fortune 500 commercial and industrial corporations, utilities, and independent power producers and renewable energy project developers.
Account Managers are strategists that help customers leverage the opportunities presented by deregulation. They are liaisons between customers/partners and World Energy’s operations team, facilitating the flow of information and insight required to maximize success and satisfaction. While Accounts Managers are essential to the consummation of each procurement, they are primarily responsible for the health of the relationship between World Energy and its customers.
You will be expected to: - Harvest relationship with utility and facilitate closing customer business.
- Manage on-going internal marketing to utilities.
- Develop “on-boarding” of new utilities, including but not limited to:
- Training on company platform
- Support Sales and Operations with process compliance and development. Assist in monitoring and refining workflow.
- Recommend new products and service offerings.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and develop lines of communication for efficient issue resolution.
- Clearly communicate in both a written and oral manner.
The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated track record of at least five years business experience within the energy, telecommunications or high tech industries and consistent professional growth is apparent. The ideal candidate must have: - The ability to learn quickly, a comfort level working with minimal direction, and the desire to grow along with World Energy’s continued success
- 3-5 years experience within the power and gas markets in a progressive role
- Solid analytical, verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
- A competitive drive and confidence in your abilities
- Strong follow-up skills
- A strong work ethic and a self starter
- Ability to multi-task and willingness to take risks in making business decisions
- Interest in being an individual contributor and working in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access
- An undergraduate degree (at a minimum)
