Channel Sales - World Energy Solutions, Inc., the undisputed leader in the online energy procurement space, with at least 5 times the volume of its closest competitor, is looking for a competitive, “A-level” sales professional to join our successful, entrepreneurial team in our aggressive Channel Partner Development initiative. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated track record of at least 5 years in sales (two in the retail energy marketplace, either on the demand or supply side) where steady and consistent sales growth has been shown. He/She has earned and expects to earn a minimum of $250K consistently with a realistic goal of over $400K per year via a mostly commission-based pay structure. The ideal candidate must have:
- Very strong follow up skills
- An Undergraduate Degree (at a minimum)
- The ability to thrive with a 9 – 12 month sales cycle
- An understanding of the energy industry
- Experience selling energy related products or services to Fortune 500 companies
- Specific personal and professional goals
- A strong work ethic and the desire to achieve higher levels of income
- Strong organizational and communication skills with both clients and teammates
- The ability to flourish in a commissioned environment
- A demonstrated track record for closing at above-average industry rates
You will be expected to:
- Consistently hunt for new business opportunities
- Consistently close “big-ticket” deals
- Identify and present to the decision maker within an organization
- Live up to commitments made to clients, prospects and teammates

- Track your sales behaviors as well as results

World Energy Solutions, Inc., is seeking an experienced salesperson who knows they can deliver. We expect results in the short-term, although we understand the selling cycle—behavior is crucial as a barometer of future success. This is not the place for you if you have no experience in consultative sales at the decision-maker level, nor if you expect a 6 - 9 month warm-up period. Expect first year sales targets of $200K per month, an average of two partners enrolled per month, and an appointment to close ratio of 2-1 or better. These are very reasonable estimates—attaining success will require effort, but the rewards are great.
