World Energy Exchange Taps Martin Goldenblatt
to Lead Business Development
Worcester, Massachusetts (Business Wire) -February
13, 2001--
World Energy Exchange, Inc. (WEXCH), a leading provider
of energy procurement solutions and value-added services
to commercial, industrial, and government energy customers,
announced today that Martin K. Goldenblatt has joined as
Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Goldenblatt
will be responsible for managing sales activities and developing
new business opportunities through alliances and partnerships.
“Marty brings to the table the perfect experience
and management style we were looking for in a Vice President
of Business Development,” said John Nugent, CEO of
World Energy Exchange. “We wanted someone who had
worked on both sides of the utility industry and understood
the unique problems and challenges of the energy industry
today, but we also wanted someone with a strong sales and
marketing approach. Marty is a real asset in that he not
only understands the nuts and bolts of the technology affecting
the energy industry, but knows also what that technology
means to the marketplace.”
Mr. Goldenblatt brings over twenty years of sales experience
in utility and energy-related industries. Mr. Goldenblatt's
previous experience has included the development of software--for
such diverse web-based utility applications as load research,
rates, pricing, billing, customer support, load profiling
and settlement-- the design of nuclear power plants, and
consulting on the economic and operational impact of alternative
energy resources.
Most recently, Mr. Goldenblatt was a co-founder of LODESTAR,
a world-class application software company, where he was
a Vice President responsible for sales.
Mr. Goldenblatt received a BS in Mechanical Engineering
from the City University of New York and a Masters in Mechanical
Engineering from Northeastern University.
