Subject: HP Chemstation - GC HP 5980: How can I switch PurgeValve via Software?

Hello,
we use a HP 5890 with Chemstation (Rev. 4.xx)  software and inject
splitless manually. With default software settings, the PurgeValve will be
closed, if you press the Start button on GC. But this is too late, so you
inject in an open split ! :-(
Is it possible to switch the PurgeValve with a (prerun-) macro? 
I believe, it may function with the command:
      writemodule gc,"GC commands"
but I don't know the syntax of these "GC commands". 
Is there anybody, who can help us?
