Hi there, I am looking for either a URL or an e-mail address for the Ocean Exploration Group in California. I read an article concerning a new craft called the Deep Flight, and I am looking for any new developments.Return to Top

I am doing a project on the condition of the St. John's Harbour in Newfoundland where I live. Our harbour which is history known for it's stratigic location is in major trouble. Approximatly 120 million litres of raw sewage and stormwater run off is dumped into our harbour everyday. I am reasearching different methods of wastewater treatment and I am very interested in "Solar Aquatic Wastewater treatment". The idea of using plants, fish, snails and bacteria to break down the sewage is very interesting. I would like to know more about this and other methods of treatment. If anyone has a thought on this or can point me in the right direction for more information it would be appreciated. Thanks, JenniferReturn to Top

Plot Plus is a graphics package that has been used for over 10 years at many oceanographic institutions around the world. Plot Plus can generate high quality output in several formats, e.g. GIF, Postscript. Plot Plus uses a powerful and flexible scripting language in conjuction with a netCDF calculator to provide powerful analysis of both data and model results. The features that Plot Plus boasts are too many to list here, for more information check out the web site below, or download the documentation. Plot Plus is now available at no charge. It does require licensing on a per computer basis, but again the license is at no cost. Hello, I am working on calculating the transport of materials through an estuarine cross section, and have a couple questions about some of the variables (especially the depth averages of Ui.', U.j', and Uij*). I was wondering if there was anyone out there who is familiar with these calculations, and would be able to give me some help (advice, contacts, further references). Thank you, Troy Colyer Huxley College of Environmental Science Western Washington University Bellingham, WA 98225Return to Top
Hi oceanographers! I need to compile a worldwide synopsis of the tides, including both the regime and the maximal excursion, for a biological review work. I don't need highly detailed geographical information, but rather a medium- to big-picture treatment for most major coasts and seas. Is there a single source or suite of sources that I can consult to extract or develop this information? Any assistance would be gratefully accepted. With best regards, Mike Chotkowski chotkows@uiuc.eduReturn to Top
