Our Accounting Intern position requires collaboration with all functional groups within the Company, including our operations team, sales group, and administrative staff. This requires an individual who is comfortable both as a team player and as an individual contributor. This is located at our Worcester, MA headquarters.

The thrust of our internship program is to nurture the best and the brightest. Exposure to the deregulated energy industry; inner workings of a company; perfecting research, organizational, and communication skills are a few of the benefits that our interns have been afforded.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Monthly booking of revenue and commissions in Quickbooks
  • Journal entries into Quickbooks
  • Formatting payment reports and upload payments into Platform
  • Assist with invoicing and collections
  • Application of cash received
  • Calculation of Channel Partner Commissions
  • Review/audit expense reports & invoices, Invoice Entry and weekly check

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong, self-starter’s work ethic with an innate comfort in an entrepreneurial environment
  • The ability to learn quickly, a comfort level working with minimal direction, and the desire to grow along with World Energy’s continued success
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Resourceful and detail oriented
  • Ability to effectively organize, manage, and balance multiple tasks and priorities
  • Dependable, reliable and professional

Preferred Major: Finance, Accounting, Business.
Required available hours: 12-15+ hours during the school year; 32+ hours during the summer
