The Situation

• Cheap Rockies Supply was flowing to the Midwest where our customer, a large steel producer, was sourcing 100% of its supply from the Gulf Coast.

World Energy Action

• World Energy worked with Rockies Express to establish a pipeline interconnect at the steel producer’s Ohio plant.
• Natural Gas started flowing November 2010.

Result

• Steel producer now has multiple pipeline interconnects which allow them to ensure least-cost routing and saved over $1.6 million by sourcing natural gas from the Rockies via Rockies Express.
